RHA programs

RHA programs include such annual events as: Welcome Jacks, Parents Day, Casino Night, Holiday Extravaganza, and RHA Best Week Ever. In addition, several standing committees plan various types of activities. The degree to which a student gets involved in his or her hall activities or RHA depends only on the student's interests and goals.

Welcome Jacks

The Welcome Jacks

program is a group of students, new to SFA, who are interested in getting involved on campus.  Welcome Jacks get to move-in to the residence halls three days before all other residents, get to know their hall’s staff, meet other people new to SFA, help other residents move in, and participate in the Welcome Week activity that RHA hosts.

Parents Day

Parents Day is an event bringing hundreds of friends and family members to campus to experience a day in the life of their college student. This year's Parents Day will be Saturday, September 24, 2011, and the theme is Oh, The Sites You'll See At SFA.

Holiday   Extravaganza

Holiday Extravaganza traditionally features performances from the Raguet Elementary School Choir, the SFA Roaring Buzzsaws Pep Band, and the SFA Choir with a welcome from the University President, Dr. Baker Pattillo.  Afterwards, it is followed by a reception, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as craft activities for children and The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. RHA also coordinates a Toy Drive to benefit the Women's Shelter of East Texas. We encourage all student organizations to donate new, unwrapped toys to help bring cheer to all children during the holiday season.

Fall Fest

Fall Fest is RHA’s annual fall carnival, open to everyone on the SFA campus and the entire Nacogdoches community. The festivities include a wide variety of games, costume contests, and food and fun for all ages. The evening wraps up with annual Mays Hall Haunted House.

RHA Best Week Ever

Best Week Ever is an entire week of fun and exciting activities that RHA puts on. There are several different events that happen such as Silent Library like the television show, and Splatterbeat which is where you splatter paint by beating to the beat of different genres of music.
